MET GALA- MY first post!

I know that many of you, like myself, were obsessing over what the celebs wore to the Met Gala. The Met Gala, in my opinion, is the most fabulous event of the year. Celebs and fashion designers wearing and creating the most decadent and risky designs. Some of the outfits were outlandish to say the least, and others were to die for. I have picked some of my favs and some of my "OMG what were you thinking!" picks.


For starters, i know everyone on twitter was waiting for Beyonce's appearance, and how i was impressed by her post-baby bod, i wasn't too thrilled on her choice of dress. I feel like it wasn't a complete mess, but she could've showed her bod off in something else. Don't get me wrong though, she still looks fabulous!

I absolutely ADORE Rachel Zoe, and i think her off the shoulder, fringe, white gown from her collection looked stunning on her. And i thought her boho accessories were to a T. Definitely a fav from the night.

Also from the Rachel Zoe collection was an interesting piece for sure. Karolina Kurkova was sporting it and i thought it was very daring, brave, and nice of her to do so. I would never wear it, it reminded me somewhat of an alien costume, a fabulous alien, may i add. 

Gold seemed to be a popular color on the red carpet, metallic, shimmery, and gold beads are shown here. This is how you wear gold, the right way.

Now onto the best part, the "OMG what were you thinking!" winners. First, Kristen Dunst. She wore this, must i say it?, terrible, ugly orange, i don't even know why she would consider this color let alone outfit for such a fabulous event. It kind of reminded me of the girl from scooby-doo. Don't you think so? This color not only clashes with the red carpet, but just washes her out. 

Next, this dress even made my mom gasp. I just don't understand this dress, or why someone would wear it out. I just think it belongs on Little House on the Prairie, not on the red carpet. It is just not flattering, no matter which way you twirl.

This "dress" i guess you could call it, even though there's a lot missing, was worn by Anja Rubik. Of course her bod is banging, i will give her that, but this does not mean you should show it off. ESPECIALLY to this extent at such a fabulous event, i thought it was trashy, and completely unacceptable to wear at a sophisticated place. She is my number one worst dressed.

Because i like ending on good notes, I have my last picture, which is Sofia Vergara. She looks fabulous, i love this dress, i love the fit, i think she picked the perfect dress. Not too much showing, but the fit accentuates her curves just right to make her still look sexy. Definitely a fav and a best dressed.
